Boxing

We understand if you’re more of a Kung Pao than a Kung Fu kind of person, but hear us out. Boxing is one of the best mental and physical workouts out there. Did you know that a lot of Victoria Secret models add boxing to their routines to get ready for their annual fashion show? Whether your goal is to look good in a skimpy swimsuit or walk up the stairs without getting winded, boxing can help you get there. Don’t worry – boxing workouts focus more on the techniques than stepping into the ring. You’ll spend most of your class practicing fancy footwork and imagining your annoying coworker’s face on a punching bag.

TRX

Fitness is like fashion. One day you’re in, and the next day you’re out. People tossed aside their ThighMaster in favor of barre. Those who used to bounce around to 80s music in their leg warmers have replaced their step aerobics with spin. If you’re looking for this season’s trend, it’s TRX. TRX is an intense strength training workout but without the weights. Personal trainers will teach you how to use these bands to do simple body weight exercises like planks, push-ups, and lunges – but with a twist. Think of TRX like an elevated version of what you’re already doing at the gym. This workout is perfect for every fitness level because you choose how difficult you want the move to be based on your foot position.

Kettlebell

Ain’t nobody got time for the gym. That’s why we help you get in and out of there as quick as possible. If you’re crunched for time, you should look into a kettlebell workout program. Kettlebells are a fantastic way to get your cardio and strength workouts done in under an hour. You could look up a workout on Pinterest and try it for yourself. Just remember that you’re swinging around a heavy piece of metal, so injuries may result. You’re best off beginning your kettlebell journey with a seasoned pro. You’d be amazed that even regular gym-goers don’t get the most out of their kettlebell workouts because they have poor form. Kettlebell training is great for building muscle while still burning calories by keeping your heart rate up. And because they come in so many sizes, this workout grows with you as you get stronger.

Functional Training 360

Functional Training 360 is exactly what you think a traditional bootcamp workout would be, minus the drill sergeant. If you’re the type of person who gets bored quickly, we promise this class will delight you week after week. Each training program lasts between 3 to 6 weeks, and each class is roughly 60 minutes long. During your first class, you’ll perform a fitness test full of push-ups, burpees, and crunches. Our favorite part is that you repeat this portion on the very last day of class to see how much you’ve improved. How will you improve? Each class targets a specific part of your body. Your trainer will break up the room into different stations, and you will repeat multiple circuits.

Experience level: Beginners to Advanced

Insanity

If you’re the kind of person who thinks someone must have a loose screw if they love going to the gym, you’re not alone. While every workout may feel like insanity, try doing Insanity. We promise you’ll feel muscles you didn’t even know you had! Insanity is a HIIT (high intensity interval training) workout, meaning you will do quick bursts of maximum effort and then have periods of rest. No nap time allowed, though. Each workout is roughly an hour long, and you’ll cycle through cardio and body weight exercises. If you’re looking to tone up but are afraid to dabble in the strength section, Insanity is the perfect class for you. You’ll shed the pounds and reveal lean muscles underneath.
